Paris Underrated westcoast Producer

When we talk about great westcoast producers the name of Paris never come on this board . But i was listening Guerilla funk and sonic Jihad i remember the C funk album and the conscious daughters album . And the beat are bangin and streight westcoast ! So why his name never come ?

because people can't stand that he's not rappin bout bullshit and don't consider paris as a great rap music producer cause most of them dont even know he produces his own shit.

^ uhh no maybe its because great producers usually produce for a lot of artist. Timbaland, Swizz Beatz, Jazze Pha, etc aren't considered great producers because of 2 albums they produced for themselves and 1 for another artist.

Why do you think DJ Quik doesn't get the credit he deserves? Other than a few occassions where he worked with other artist (jay-z, chingy, whitney houston, 2pac, etc) he pretty much spent his entire career producing for the likes of 2nd ii none, hi-c, amg, and suga free. And let's face it, no one outside of california (and this forum) listens to those artist.

i mean i can see that in terms of style, but defineitly not in terms of talent and charisma (swagger)

Paris is/was an incredible producer. The C-Funk album and the D.E.E.P. album (parlayin) are tight as fuck. i was recently listening to the latter on youtube and saw a comment from one of the members who basically said they produced the whole album and turned it in to Scarface records and Paris took the credit for the production and ran with it.
