"OG 2 bg" is not a Dre-beat. Daz did it
yea, its from a "chronic"-session, but Daz made beats for those sessions too (like "rat-a-tat")

Was Soopafly's verse added later to the song?

yea, Fly didnt join the click till 94,, n he didnt rap until 96.
but the weirdest thing, is the Latoiya Williams-performace on the song. ???  so i guess the song was probly recorded in 99 or 00

Yes, so were Tha Dogg Pound. None are on the OG.

Again with the OG2BG shit. Where I'd this info coming from?

from an advanced tracklist of chronic 2000
originally it was supposed to feature several remixes of unreleased Dre songs and OG 2 BG was one of them
that's the facts but I guess some people prefer speculation over facts
so they just say (without any proof)  that Dre produced the remix on Chronic 2000 and Daz just stole the credits for it

yeah there were supposed to be 4 new Dre tracks on Chronic 2000, this being one of them

didn't know that, who was on the OG?

i had heard they re-did the beat, either daz or soopafly or both had to re make the beat. Definately sounds like it coulda been a Dre beat in in original form, has that smooth chronic/doggystyle style to it (along the lines of Every Single Day)

No okka, the mag is somewhere piled in boxes in storage.  I really think i read it online in 00 also.

ok, michael madsen, then why would daz's verse reference dr dre if it was re recorded after dre left.   Daz's verse reminds me of his style on 'do it on the upside.'

seriously, daz mentions dre in positive light = daz's verse recorded b4 february 1996.

maybe daz simply recited lyrics he had written a long time ago without changing them. kind of like Snoop still says "death row is the label that pays me" when he performs Nothing But a G-Thang live. also his voice sounds raspier than the one he had in 94. plus he does his typical screeching car sounds on this track. and he didn't start doing this until 97-98. at the end of the song he says very clearly 1999.

actually no ur incorrect, peep the up in smoke dvd, and thats from over a decade ago.  when snoop performs live he always says : DOGG POUND is the label that pays me.

Im simply not gonna buy that Daz's verse was recorded after 1/96.

actually u have a point about the 1999 though... damn

Actually you both are wrong. He says "Dogg House is the label that pays me".

Snoop has switched that line up over the years.  I've heard him say No Limit, Dogghouse and Death Row after leaving Death Row.  I had to check up the Death Row line for myself, but bouli77 was right.  I was surprised.
