Congratulations. Somebody on this board who actually understands how the music business works. It's not about selling it as an "unreleased track", it's about owning the rights to it so he can get paid. It won't likely pan out. The bulk of Pac's music is owned by his estate and I doubt they will sell it to this guy. They will also probably make life hell for whoever tries to license a porno with his likeness, which is why few serious offers are coming though.

That's not necessarily true.  That would be the case if the song were added to the video itself, like in the Gang Related movie where Pac songs (Lost Souls, How Do U Want It, Staring Through My Rearview) were included during the post-production phase and it's part of the movie.  I don't think that they can collect royalties over a song that happens to be playing in the background during what is essentially a home video.  And even if they could (which they might be able to, since it's not like I'm an attorney), I don't think he'll come close to recouping a $1 million investment for one song on a video that may never get commercially released.

I still stand by my original post, if you read it -- the guy is basically getting some free buzz for his energy drink company on a offer that he probably didn't truly intend to pay out.  No one in their right mind would pay a million for this.
