the worst Daz Dillinger-album?
« on: November 23, 2011, 01:35:43 PM »
we already had one for the "best Daz-album"

now, hes got a long catalgoue, n it isnt really that hard to find duds. arguably the John Silva-produced album "Gangsta Party" is the worst of the bunch.
i think he recorded it like 10 days or some shit, just to make a quick buck (kinda like Spice 1 and the Outlawz/Bone Thugs-guys did wit their RealTalk Ent. and HighPowered-releases)

one good song on it tho -----

"Caught Up In the Game (feat Joe Budden)"

Bullshit album first and formost due to the beats...instros are horrible and cheap. Imagine tryin to get motivation to write for that shit?

Single best thing bout the album is Roscoes verse on 'Start A Problem' (Daz does a good job on 'All About Da Money' though)

Forget bangers, no tracks on the album are even bumpable...could easily be a contender for worst album...

I rate it 1.5/5

"Gangsta Party" for sure. "Gangsta Crunk" actually had a couple of good songs.

Real Talk Entertainment releases are much better than High Powered ones. Big Hollis, Cozmo and them are very good producers.

I kinda liked Gangsta Party TBH. The productions are a bit cheap that's true but some of the compositions are quite good IMHO. I fuck with tracks like Is This What U Want (feat. Redman) (i love the production lol), Gettin' Money (feat. E-40 & Kurupt), Tell Me What U Want (feat. Spice 1, San Quinn & Francci). And of course Caught Up In The Game, you can't go wrong sampling The Deele's Just My Luck. The rest is either average/trash but it was cool to see Daz do songs with rappers he hadn't done songs with in a long time (San Quinn, Jayo Felony, Spice 1, Redman, E-40)

but yeah actually Gangsta Party, along with Gangsta Crunk are Daz's worst albums for me. Maybe Matter Of Dayz too (though it has 2-3 very good songs).

Generally I don't spend time thinking about an artists worst tracks, let alone discussing them on the Internet.

Do you feel that's time well spent?

The MODS need to give these clowns fucking up the forums a few warning and throw them off.  There are like 5 people that just take a topic and fuck the whole thread up.  It becomes a personal war againist the 2 of them.  This is only going to deter the arists from posting on here until someone does something.

I'd have to say Gangsta Crunk was the worst.  The first track was good, but it sunk after that.  Gangsta Party had a handful of decent jams.  It was nice hearing Spice 1 and Roscoe.  Also that Caught Up In The Game was radio quality IMO.  I think Daz needs to work more with Roscoe, that boy is/was unfire.

Gangsta Party wasn't all that good, but overall Daz' discography is pretty good.
