Death Row OG CDs vs Remasters

I've got some of both.

Is it generally accepted that the OG's are better, or are any of the Remasters worth owning?

i always prefer the remasters with the exception of Makaveli and Chronic Re-lit when it comes to sound quality

but Re Lit came with a bonus DVD so that was fresh

I bought The Chronic Re-lit and didn't really notice that much of a difference.

The bonus DVD was dope but on one track I could barely hear Snoop and Kurupt rapping, sounded like DJ Pooh mixed it

most of yall wont believe this but the cassette of murder was the case bumped harder then the cd.

that was the case with all deathrow releases...the original presses the trebel was way to high or some shit on the cds. the moog synth at the begininng of the chronic intro was ear piercing lol

i remember i bought doggystyle on cd becasue they were out of tapes so that one i cant really recall though.

i remember the soundeing resonating better on the casette tapes and we had a nice audio set up too so it was a fair comparison.

"is it generally accepted?"

u sound like a kid comparing Pokemon or Turtles-toys on a schoolyard during recess.

keep the version u like and prefer, and dont ask for acceptance

Releases like Above The Rim, Murder Was The Case, Gridlock'd, Gang Related and Dogg Food sound exactly the same to me. Makaveli and Doggfather remastered sound better than the original. Doggystyle, All Eyez On me and The Chronic sound far better in original form than remastered. Just my humble opinion.

makaveli OG has a crisper sound to it if i recall, which fit the dark mood of the album a bit better
