Manning cleared to play
« on: February 02, 2012, 08:11:00 PM »
Manning's doctors and Colts doctors have said he can now continue his NFL career. ESPN reported it.

NFL.com is downplaying it saying he still can't throw at an elite level. Well, neither can Brady, but he's at his 5th Superbowl. If Peyton's arm can get to 50% of where it was, it's still better than 50% of NFL starting QBs. If it can get to 75% then it's better than 75% of NFL starting QBs, and keep that percentage ratio going. If he's cleared now, that means he's playing next year, somewhere. I guarantee it.

I was worried the neck may never heal enough to be able to take the hits. That's not an issue anymore.

NFL.com didn't say that. Peyton Manning said that. & how he doesn't want to step in if he doesn't feel 100%.

One of the two doctors said his neck is in condition where he coulda played this Sunday.

I should have specified the video of Lacanfora and Lombardi.

Bottom line is all this retirement talk needs to go away unless something new comes out. I hope the Colts do drop him and I hope Andrew Luck never gets to see a what playing NFL Football in January is like, but Peyton is playing again. At the very least he'll be able  to throw the ball as well as Brady next season, except he'll still probably be able to throw a fade route to the back of the endzone.

^ Dude, do you even care about anyone besides Manning? I mean listen to yourself, you're expressing ill will towards a kid who has never taken an NFL snap for the simple reason that you hope he'll make Manning look good lol

I don't care about Manning. This all stems for my one true love; ME, and my desire to be right, and to rub it in people's faces when they doubt me.

Because it makes it easier for me to say "I was right". Just like I hope Brady ends up on another team and he stinks it up the last 3 years of his career.

Crennel announced that there will be a QB competition this offseason for Cassel, and I guess Orton. I couldn't think of a more perfect team for Manning to play on with tha defense and all those weapons. They just signed Dabol as their OC and by all accounts he's a power ball skills type of OC and mixed with Manning's play-calling and talent I would predict adn offense that would do so much more damage than anything the Colts could dream of doing (outside of 04, but I could wouldn't surprised with it being close to that given the new rules). I mean JC, and Jones pounding it up the middle, with Dexter playing double duty, Bowe and Breaston on the outside, Moeaki and Pope will make Hernandez and Gronk seem mediocre, and that home field advantage of Arrowhead allowing Romeo's defense to give them short fields and 3 and outs and short fields off of Turnovers. I salivate at the idea.

I mean the AFC West would be a lock, and if they end up with the best record I can't see anyone coming into Arrowhead and winning. Superbowl.
