El Drex (the original Daz Dillinger)
« on: February 18, 2012, 04:57:50 AM »
way back, before Kurupt jumped on the Death Row-train, Kurupt came up in Sharon Hill, PA rappin alongside his childhood friend El Drex.
Drex would produce and rap on the songs, while Kurupt rapped..
more known for his appearance on Kurupts song "the life" (from Kuruption) and the Ras Kass song "Ice age", El Drex re-connected wit Kurupt again when he was building up Antra Records (a vanity imprint to A&M Records) wit the Philly-mobsters back in 98.
El Drex recorded around 3 or 4 albums for Kurupts label, but due to money discrepensices or whatever the albums never surfaced. far as i know, they are not on good speakin terms til this day.
anyhow, El Drex is more known as a professional photographer today, but he recently leaked some old stuff from the unrelaeesed Antra/El Drex-albums.

Props!  This was when kurupt was untouchable on the mic.  Before his beef wit Soopafly. After Soopafly smashed him, he's never been the same since.
