I've once listened to samples of the album about a year ago, but I can't remember the site. I'll try to find this site tomorrow.

I owned it, and it was an alright CD. Back in the day, I used to bumped that shit everyday, but I liked Frost Smile No Die Later better. But it was a great Chicano album, as I liked it better than Slow Pain's first one, and I did listen to it everyday, maybe because it was my second CD I owned, Frost being the first. Overall, I give it 4 outta 5. If someone can tell me how I can get it again, let me know. Peace

This is an interesting post about an old school classic. I say interesting because (currently) the artist who rapped on the song "Ridin Low" has a new name and is working under the care of Shade Sheist's PaperWork Entertainment. D'OShai is the new name, and you can get a sample of his style on a song called "FunkyIndoSoul" (feat. Shade Sheist) which is featured on an early Dj Vice Mixtape. I will search my archives for the record and post my findings.

yeah it was, they would play it on power all the time....i remeber the baka boyz even clowin on how played at it was on air, kinda hinting that it was due to payola.....i seen him at a carshow back in 96' perform this song....he even brought out the old r&b singer who he sampled the song from to sing the hook......it was kinda corny, heads in the crowd were clownin' like, 'hey look, he brought his dad out!".......i never felt the song personally, even for that time period.....and if i remember correctly, dude isnt chicano, he's black, but its been so long i cant really remember.......

Yeah dude was black. It was one of those songs that I probably liked because of the vibe, and because it was always on radio. LOL, I do remember it being on Power, but barely on the Beat, if at all. I bought the album...and it really did have a chicano production feel. It sounded like C or D level attempts at Coolio or Above  the Law beats...but I played it a lot back then, especially because he didn't cuss on the album, which was a major plus for me being in 5th grade. I know that I played it a few years ago, and it sounded VERY dated.

LOL... I had a family vacation to the States that year and we spent a week in LA. I listened to Power the whole time I was there, and this track was ALL OVER IT.

Shit, I kinda liked it :-[ ;D
