goblin wasn't as good as bastard but it was a solid effort. the new of tape is decent too but it needed more earl.

earl & domo are my favorite out of OF rapping wise. tyler can have some memorable lines here and there but i like his production better.

Sure I know dudes had exposure, but I ain't feeling him as a solo artist......Odd Future sound the shit tho.

The attention Tyler got is the same shit the entire posse got.  If you know who Tyler is, you know Odd Future.

On a related note what was Everyones opinion on the mellowhype album they dropped? Blackendwhite? I felt it was along the same line of goblin, some good tracks but kind of weak overall.

Hodgy did a drop an ep that was really dope though with production from juicy j, alchemist and flying lotus.

You're late to the party!  Funny because I was gonna make this exact thread soon seeing as they are never discussed on this forum save for comments in passing.

I've been listening to OF for the past 6 months or so, went on a binge after I was introduced to them by a friend and downloaded all of their essential shit.  Mike G's album Ali is one of their best albums in terms of production and Earl Sweatshirt's EARL is one of the best albums I've heard in the past few years.  Earl is gonna be huge if he returns to rapping, he's only 18 for god's sake and already has some pretty crazy shit behind him.

Don't forget about The Jet Age of Tommorow either, who released a really great instrumental album called Voyager which has a lot of funk and jazz elements in it.  I think a lot of people on here would like that album.

I'd advise anyone interested to download all of their free stuff (which is most of it) and take a listen.  I guarantee you will find something you like!

If it is not from the Nwa/deathrow/dr dre family tree then nobody here cares.

Odd future is dope, breath of fresh air from out here in la.  Earl, domo genesis, hodgy beats and mike g are dope to.

Other acts you might wanna checkout that's pretty nice from la is, Casey veggies, Dom Kennedy and 4en6

I know Dom Kennedy, I got both his albums. is lyrics suck but his ear for beats is amazing. I only know about Casey Veggies from like 2-3 song he was featured on. But I read he was originally also a member of Odd Future. As for the first sentence of your post: Sad but true it seems... :-\

New Casey Veggies mixtape is dope http://www.dubcnn.com/connect/index.php?topic=281262.0

There was a rumor going around that Mike G was related to Warren G  You should put that in the topic title to get people interested.
