I don't want to get this started again, but I guess I'll have to.  What info are you all talking about.  We didn't hear anything but old news and speculation.  Dre might do this and Dre might do that.  Rakim may drop sooner or later.  Sorry, but ya'll actin like this guy tellin us all this dope shit.  I don't know.  I don't care about the posts, but ya'll jockin him like he really in the camp.  Call me a hater and shit, but I could have just made the same post he did.

How many of you have even considered the possibility that mellowman is lying...?  From the way you all talk you take everything he says as truth........if he is truly who he says he is....he has nothing to hide.......just ask him for some cold hard proof that we can see and not just read.........i remember his last post saying that Rakim would be out by now and now he dont know....he has never mentioned any of those new Aftermath artists that are profiled in the new source like brooklyn, antonio, joe beast.....or better yet......ask him to tell us the names of Dre's kids......if he is for real then tell us that......give us a pic of inside Dre's studios....tell him to give us something that we cannot find online....................another thing how come he knows so much about things but when it comes to Rakim's album all we know about it is the name and maybe some producers......now let me ask you if he knows so much how come  we dont know more than that...Nigga is full of shit........and like i said earlier, dont say come back at me with words mellowman....come back to us with proof....dont say it...DO IT!  Proof NiggA!!!!

the whole point is... there will be none. you just gotta learn accept this as "rumours from that mellowman guy". not everything in life is black and white.. this is grey... just leave it as such because you wont change it.

we've seen many things he's said come true. now some are known when he posts them, and some arent. one example would be about 'the wash' soundtrack being changed from what was originally promised (this was never raised anywhere else... now mellow has said some things about the "detox sound" and a ferw other things. he doe answer -some- questions he see's raised...

anyways.. my point is. just let him do what he wants, dont hate. he's not causing any trouble.
whether you think he's wacko or is dre/mel-man/mike or whoever doesnt matter a bit because he wont acknowledge any of those.

here's my 2 cents on this:

I'm half skeptical about all of this.  I'm sorry, but as was said above, he didn't drop much info that was brand new.  50 cent said in a couple of interviews he didn't spend much time in the studio with dre.  And was kinda vague on current releases.  However, I think the reason he is vague about this is because he does not want too much info to leak.  he just wants there to be a buzz about Aftermath to get us to talk more about upcoming shit.

but Mellowman overhypes shit WAY too much.  I don't blame him, he works for Dre, but I, along with the majority of this board, was expecting "The Wash" and Truth Hurts album to be classics by the way he was talking about them, however both greatly dissapointed me, and the majority of the board.  How could Dre put these albums out, yet shelve albums by King T (which was a banging album), Eve, and The Last Emperor (Hittman, although a lot of peeps like him on this board, is nothing special IMO)?  If you've never heard The Last Emperor, listen to some of his shit.  Him spitting over Dre's beats would be crazy.  Yet, instead we got 2 dissapointing albums that.  

Rakim.  Rakim.  Oh My God, this album is the most over hyped album I've ever heard of.  For me to be satisfied with "Oh My God", it's gotta b better than Doggystyle, AEOM, and The Chronic combined.  If Dre and Rakim have been working on it for 2 years, it better be the best damn album I've ever heard.  If it isn't on that kind of level, I will consider it very dissapointing.  Rakim made a HUGE mistake signing to Aftermath.  He should have signed with another label and got Dre to produce a couple tracks.  I'm sorry, but if an abum takes 3 fuckin years to make, it better be the best album in music history; anything less is dissapointing.

I would not be shocked if Rakim was pushed back til 2004 and Detox til 2005 so Dre can produce 1-2 tracks for The Game and Brooklyn's albums, which will sell 300,000-400,000 max
