Some people grow up. 

Who did he sell out?  He's making the moves he wants to make (acting, directing, producing, rapping), providing for his family and living a lifestyle that he's content with.  He's calling his own shots and that's more important than some butthurt fan crying that he's not approaching things the same way as when he was a teenager or in his twenties.
