it's pretty much the same beat

DPGC=Snoop, Techniec, Nate Dogg, Bad Azz, Lil' ˝ Dead, RBX, Lil' C-Style, Big C-Style, Soopafly, Tha Eastsidaz, Rage, Mr. Malik, Roscoe, Warren G, Big Pimpin, Butch Cassidy, E-White, etc.

dont think Shade's ever been DPGC

does Crooked I count since he was once part of the Eastsidaz original lineup?

and i've never once considered RBX as a DPG member

You don't consider RBX an Dogg Pound member? What the fuck. He always been reppin' it.

well, x is actually not a dogg pound member...he's a dogg pound gangsta.

they both sample MTume's You are my sunshine

Shade Sheist ain't never been affiliated to DPGC, he may have done songs with some of them and be friends with some of them though.

When i say Dogg Pound like that i mean the whole Dogg Pound. Just like Snoop said, they're all the Dogg Pound, but Daz and Kurupt are the group "Tha Dogg Pound".

naah, tha dogg pound is just daz and kurupt...if you're a dpg, ur in dpgc. snoop is high all the time, half the shit he says is him speakin out his ass, and he will tell u that himself.

also, theres the dpg next generation- Meko, Dangerous Rob, Montana, 4Five, J-Tripz, and Chaotic...but most people say that was just a gimmick, cuz none of those rappers got any real publicity from that shit. but they technically have the right 2 claim dpg.

It's mad funny that you think you know shit better than Snoop and everybody else. If Goldie Loc for example says in a song "Lil Goldie Loc from Tha Dogg Pound" he's talkin' about DPG, the whole clique, the gang, but it's the same fuckin thing and i don't know why the fuck you don't understand that.

And don't give me that bullshit that you live in L.A. and that's why you know better than everybody else, fuck outta here with that dumb ass bullshit.

like i said, snoop is a baked cat who speaks out his ass, and thats a known fact...kurupt and daz both broke it down on numerous occasions and explained that they are the only members of tha dogg pound and that the rest of the affiliates are dpg's. actually they once stated that there was a third member of tha dogg pound and that it was soopafly, but i'd only count him in the group as a producer...is there really a song where goldie says "goldie loc from the dogg pound" or did u just make that up?

I think on "I Luv It"  he says "I shut em down, Dogg Pound for them bitches" and on Eastsidaz he says "I clown homeboy and I bang the pound".

Both of you are right though IMO. Big C Style have said over the years that the Dogg Pound was basically the set where he & Snoop used to kick it outside the studios when they recorded the Chronic, and that at first it didn't specifically meant Daz & Kurupt. so when Snoop says on Stranded on Death Row "Doggy Dogg breaks 'em down with the motherfucking Dogg Pound", he's not talking about Dogg Pound the rap group but Dogg Pound the posse. then Daz & Kurupt formed the group and they became known as Tha Dogg Pound, an industry household name. still it didn't prevent other members from using the title loosely.

yea...cuz he's a dogg pound gangsta..so it makes sense that he claims the pound. that still doesnt mean he's in Tha Dogg Pound, just that he's a DPG - Dogg Pound Gangsta from the DPGC. it's confusin, but thats what it is.

once daz and kurupt officially became tha dogg pound, the rest of the dogg pound affiliates became known as dpg's.

it's just a question of terminology really. Tha Dogg Pound is the commercial entity refering to Daz & Kurupt, but the other dudes in the crew used interchangeably DPG and DPGC and used the name dogg pound a lot of times, not that it's really important but while i'm sure they made the distinction with tha Dogg Pound the group and the crew, they never used these terms with much precision

They called their home Tha Dogg Pound where some of them used to live together.
