Nas - The Second Coming

So what's the real story behind this song? Been always one of my favorites from Nas, but some people say that this is just a mix somebody made years ago over an instrumental that actually was used by some French group. I don't know. I know Nas re-used the verses. I been listenin' to this since i was a kid, never had a CDQ version though.

Yes Demain c'est loin (tomorrow is far away), the closing track of I AM's third album "L'école du micro d'argent" (the school of the silver mic) (1997). Supposedly Nas heard and liked the track, and he used the beat. The song was originally produced by Shurik'n (one of the band's two mc's) and Prince Alexander.

Yeah, i've heard that story too, but i just thought is there any proof to that. Has Nas spoken about this song in his interviews or somethin' like that? Was this ever released on a CD? I know it was on some bootlegs and mixtapes, but the version on them is not a CDQ version. Does anybody have a remastered version of the song?
