Cool. I was under the impression that it was going to be set in the past like the previous one, but it looks like it's going to be pretty modern.

I think there is a great Wolverine story to be made into a film. I just don't think they've come to one yet. It doesn't have to be a Batman Begins style where they try too hard to make it a real world story, but they can make a serious film without going too serious.

This looks way better than the first Wolverine movie, which was a mess. I don't see what the problem is. There are quite a few Wolverine stories that involve him fighting ninjas. And it looks like they're using Silver Samurai as one of the villains, which makes sense, as he's one of Wolverine's enemies from the comics that hasn't been used in a movie yet. I don't know...think it looks pretty good.

It's just the way it looks, a style clash if you will. Think of it in comic book form; Wolverine fighting Ninjas looks great with the old Frank Miler pencils, or Joe Madureira, and would thus look like a great movie if Robert Rodriguez directed using the same approach he took with Sin City (I don't mean making it look like Sin City).

But the same Ninja story drawn by Rob Liefeld would come across as way to glossy and overblown and help ruin the story (though I really liked Rob in his X-Force days, not much since).
