Truth Hurts off the Math
« on: March 06, 2003, 09:01:14 AM »
Truth Hurts  is no longer on Aftermath. According to Universal Germany Shari Watson was fired by Aftermath. Which label she will sign on and how her future will look like is still doubtful. Afermathmusic.com is including Truth to the former artists now.

btw: Aftermathmusic.com comes back on Sunday March 9th

i think that really sucks. she could have put guest vocals for other people, made at least another album and done some things. its aftermaths fault for not giving her any promo. btw, i guess this means she wont be on rakims album now

Yes it is too bad for Truth Hurts. I don't think any female artist is going to succeed on aftermath. They just don't promote them. No offence to Brooklyn and Shaunta. Dre doesn't give a shit about em. He will probably produce like 2 or 3 tracks only. Hopefully Doggystyle records won't treat Latoiya Williams like that. She definitely got more skills than Truth.

Dr Dre just produces better with men.
He Scores & Receives his best acclaim, when he Work's on a man, over a woman. Check his track record it can't be denied....lol

Nahhh!! fo real tho, it's to bad Truth couldn't stick around.
It suck's when his own peep's and friends get no-love from Dre himself.....seeing as how he'll sell his beat's to everyone else minus your not from California or in his camp.

It's true that talent can't be deined, but For dropped peep's from Aftermath the stat's do not figure well. My personal favorites R.I.P. lp's at Aftermath are (it's a shame):

"King Tee"
"Hittman"
"Dawn Robinson"

Only sucess story I know of from a former Aftermath assocoate is Eve. (A Female)
danmm!! I think I see a pattern.

*(Dawn Robinson was already a star before Aftermath & King Tee was established, and on the verge of blowing when he got scrapped.)

Lets hope she continues to work with Quik, "Im not really lookin" and "Addictive" was the two best tracks on her album, IMO.

that's pretty shitty, all those interviews before her release she always said she was getting dicked around but the record industry and now that she's with dre, she had her head up...whoops!!!

wasn't really feeling her cd that much either. she wasn't ghetto enough to stand out like Nate and TQ and wasn't pop enough like brandy and whitney
