he's a faggot for signing with Birdman in the first place knowing that Birdman is known to have killed one of his own artists (yella boy of UNLV)

Birdman rips off all his artists besides Wayne

Perhaps, especially looking at how only Wayne is left from the main roster when they blew up.  But maybe they got their business being handled better these days, as Drake and Nicki seem to be doing pretty well.  Drake's sitting on something like $20 million, and I don't think Nicki is too far behind.  Tyga isn't doing their kind of numbers as far as the charts go though.  But then again, there are all of those random people who signed with them and aren't doing shit... you got Bow Wow wearing YMCMB shit all the time but not putting anything out, but he's going to rap battles and shit and hosting 106 and Park Freestyle Friday sometimes.  So maybe they just take care of their heavy hitters, and the little guys who maybe get 100,000 downloads don't see much.

He says the label pays for all his videos and things like that, I wouldn't be saprised if the label says he owes them money for expenses they have paid for him.

I guess not much little Tyga can do about it anyway

Basically.  But the guy had ONE single break into the top 10 since he came out, most others didn't even manage to break top 50.  Wayne, Drake and Nicki do that shit on the regular.  So Tyga probably just doesn't realize that he may not have generated the profit for Cash Money to the point where they cover all of their overhead costs along with his advances to the point where he starts getting revenue.  The guy is 23, his priorities are likely not all straight.

Tyga's from a rich family, that's why he don't really care.

i think there's rich & rich. tyga doesn't come from a millionaire's family even if you come from a middle-class family that's making say $60k or even a well-off family that's makin 100+k a year you'd be pissed to know that you should be a millionaire but instead you're getting fucked.

anyway Baby's known to be shady, even with his folks he was shady (Juvenile, B.G. & Mannie Fresh), with some of the producers (Bangladesh) and he's thought to have had former artists from his roster killed (yella boy, kilo g, mr ivan) so I can only imagine the lack of qualms he must have when dealing with other artists.

in the end, if the article is accurate, it's Tyga's fault too, he should have been smart enough to get his paperwork game together, knowing there are people giving free counsel in the industry for these type of matters.

what's the story with birdman and yella boy?

birdman cleaned out his entire roster (sans himself and mannie fresh) and wouldn't give UNLV their publishing so Yella boy beat up Birdman while Slim ran out the room, then Yella took a gun and shot up a bunch of birdman's cars in his driveway

not long later Birdman put a hit out on Yella and got him killed

the other 2 guys from UNLV eventually won the rights to their music in a settlement 5 years ago or so along

I don't think it was a bunch of cars, I think it was just one car (either an Acura Vigor or an Acura Legend, whatever was out at that time) that got shot up.

It's been mentioned before.  I remember reading about it in an older issue of XXL, maybe around 2002 or 2003.  I had it because I think it was in the same issue where Jin (who was the Chinese battle emcee who won on BET's 106 and Park) was interviewed, and it was mentioned briefly about that Acura.

Royalties for what? Coconut Juice? I'm surprised they didn't drop him after that first album flopped so hard.
