I think to cement his legeacy, Snoop just needs to make 1 dope album for his core fanbase, and retire. He should either try and do something with 1 super producer, Pharell (possible) or Dre (not likely). Otherwise just get a group of WC producers in Battlecat, Fred Wreck, Daz, Quik etc, and make a final album for his original fans.

If he keeps releasing half assed albums, and experimenting with bad results, then it's just gonna tarnish his musical legacy, and he'll be looked at as a Pop Icon who is a charicature of his former self.

This is true. Even I don't care. Snoop can keep releasing 2 albums a year til he dies I don't have to buy them.

It's more frustrating Snoop can be amazing still (like on Kush) when he gives it 100%. Until he realises that, he's gonna keep releasing mediocre shit regardless of genre.

When his music stops selling, and the bottom line of creating the music is higher than the revenues, then he's going to care.

Thats a weird one tho. It seemed like the Lion album almost got shelved when the singles failed to hit. Then just before the album finally dropped Snoop started saying things like 'It ain't even about sales'

I think he is lost either way. Dude needs a year off music.

Yeah and your 45 IQ havin ass does? I think it's you who doesn't understand the record business, particularly major labels. When "artists" sign their deals, they basically agree to the label having full creative control.
please i  have way higher IQ then your dumb retarded ass . Snoop is bigger then any record label ,dumbass. record lables bow to him . Snoop can go to any label he wants because that is how big of name he is . Snoop is too smart to sign a deal with the reocrd label having full control . Snoop dogg own dogg style records & runs priorty records . so again you fucking clue or idea what oyu are talking about . Snoop is no new  school rookie who wold sign any kind of record deal without him having control.

I remember people used to complain about Snoop and his quality when he was on No Limit, but when you look back at it, that was really the last great run that Snoop had.  With NL Top Dogg, Last Meal, both Eastsidaz albums and then leading into 2001.  That was a a really great run that Snoop had during that time.

People back then used to talk about how they missed the death row days, and now you can look back and say you missed the days when Snoop was doing that shit with No Limit/ Dogghouse/ Aftermath.
