Since we got the specs for XBox One and PS4... question

I am trying to figure out which system to get this generation. Last generation, my wife bought me a Wii, which returned me back to a Nintendo customer. Before that, I had an X-Box OG. Now I want to get either an X-BoxOne or a Wii U. I like the all in one entertainment part of the XBoxOne, but then again the Wii U will let me play my Wii games and I can transfer all my virtual stuff to the new system. Of course it wouldn't be a question, except EA Sports is not trying to not make games for Wii U, starting with FIFA '14, which I was planning on getting, plus I do miss Halo. I am also thinking of getting a 3DS and having that be my Nintendo system.

Which would you do.

Get the one with the games you want obviously, Xbox. Can't you can play your old Wii games with the old Wii?

Gonna stay with Sony and get a ps4. Should see a lot more next month at E3.

I don't see how anyone can consider buying the new Xbox. Alot of people including their fanboys are turning away from it. I guess the upcoming E3 is the only thing that can change anyones mind about it.

Yeah, the Kinects always being on is kind of weird. I was going to buy the X-Box, but when i saw it I started to change my mind and thought maybe of getting the Wii U. I almost convinced myself when I posted this thread to get a Wii U, but then I heard EA isn't going to make games for it. I have never owned a Sony produced, and not sure about the PS4. I might get my first Playstation this generation.

wii U is hardly a 'next gen' console in terms of power...its more like the 360/ps3, but the second half of the year is gonna be constant heavy hitting releases, couldn't be a better time to jump in. you'll see the shit at e3 in a week or so, nintendo is gonna have the far compelling games this holiday.

they will also be showing the new smash bros, coming to wii U & 3ds. 3ds has a crazy second half of the year coming up too.

if something like COD/killzone is more appealing i guess get a xbox/ps4. like the wii U it'll be a while before the other new consoles get essential releases. i can't see any need to buy them at full price at launch unless the software is compelling.

I think I'm done buying new consoles. Or at least I'll pass this generation. These new games are so complex and time demanding, often boring. Rather just play with the old NES.

Actually, I'd rather have Mario Kart and Madden, but EA is not making games for Wii U. So not sure where I want to go with it.

Side note, I just cracked open my Skyward Sword and it's AMAZING. If Nintendo can deliver another Zelda classic like that I will buy a new Wii U, and just say screw EA. (not a Wind Waker, in fact the cartoon Zelda is why I bought an X-Box instead of a Gamecube, because cartoon Zelda games just don't do it for me.) But I have missed a whole generation of Madden and FIFA and NBA2K, and I personally had hope to get back into it. Which is why I was leaning more X-Box One over Wii U, because I do miss some games that were not very well done on Wii.

Don't know where I'm leaning, PS4 I guess is my next hope, but I next owned a Playstation, and never thought I would.

if you can afford it and can really get into video games then get both, different games for each one, like i love playing NBA2K on Playstation but i like playing Madden on xbox

but I'm getting the PS4 for sure when it comes out

I would say get the PS4. I'm a bit of a PS fanboy but the fact you have to connect to the internet every 24 hours with the Xbox is just retarded. And the kinect has to be on at all times. And you can't use 2nd hand games. And you have to pay to play online. The PS4 is also $100 cheaper. It's a win for Sony in this war. The only thing that upsets me is that you get Halo and Titanfall on the Xbox.

Can sony win the americas this gen? Tv features on the xbone pretty useless outside of the US. The fact you gotta have ps+ in order to play online on the pS4, is abit of a downer.... but since it covers Vita, Ps3 along with the pS4, I can live with it.

Pre-ordering a ps4 when it releases at the end of the year my end of the globe!

As I said, my wife bought the Wii for me, and it was fun playing Wii Sports together, and I am not playing the Zelda Skyward Sword. I have always been a Zelda fanboy and am one of those who will argue that Ocarina of Time is the greatest game ever. I had an X-Box during the previous generation, and was very happy with that, and actually wanted an X-Box 360 along with the Wii. I thought of the Wii as the family's, and the X-Box 360 would be mine, but that didn't work out. I was really looking forward to the X-Box One, as that was going to be what I got, but at the end of the day I am a bit creeped out by it. So then I was like, should I just get a Wii U, I want the Zelda game, but something tells me I can hold off on Zelda and the Wii U until it's cheaper. So with that said, I think I'm going to get a PS4, so for the first time in my life, I will own a Sony product. not sure how to take this?

i have an xbox 360 and i'm getting the ps4 when it's released. microsoft dropped the ball hard with this new console. the drm restrictions killed the console for me.

But based off what has come out about the two systems to be released, the PS4 is blowing Xbox out of the water. And it's not even PS4 taking huge strides forward, Microsoft is just acting up going backwards lol.

Paying for PS+ will be better too because that money goes back into making the online experience better. Hence why the 360's online was so much better.
