Soccer Match ended in Brazil with with a player killed and a dismembered referee

A soccer game in Maranhão, Brazil, ended in a very unusual way.

The referee showed the red card to a player. The player got mad, swore at the referee and then kicked him. The referee, then, grabbed a HUNTING KNIFE from his belt and stabbed the player in the chest. The infuriated crowd invaded the field, tied up the referee, assaulted and QUARTERED HIM and stuck his head in a pole.

i don't know if it's the "main league", but the soccer in south america is pretty raw on and off the pitch.

Stuff like that is why I don't bother with soccer.  Especially of 2 incidents in 94.  When Italy faced Brazil, one dude said,' I can't believe they're doing this well against us & his brother in law stabbed him to death    And of course the tragedy of Andres Escobar.  Bad enuff was that when he f'ed up, his fiance's 9 yr. old son knew Andres was a dead man    And the rest of earth hell still acts dumbfounded why america won't accept soccer
