Nate Dogg is prominently featured in the new Chris Rock movie, Head Of State, which hits theaters on March 28th. The singer plays himself in the movie and performs material produced by DJ Quik, who scored the film.

Ali LeRoi, who co-wrote Head Of State with Chris Rock, shared how Nate Dogg was cast in the movie. "While we were writing the film, we were staying in a hotel in Washington and we would watch BET all day long," LeRoi said. "I mean, we'd just be writing and have BET on, sound turned down, and Nate Dogg had a new album coming out, so we kept seeing all these Nate Dogg commercials. And we had kinda toyed with the idea of having a Greek chorus like they had in Something About Mary, and one day it was what if, 'Hey, what if we put Nate Dogg in it?' And next thing you know, Nate Dogg is in the movie, and that was all she wrote."

In related news, Nate Dogg's new self-titled album, which comes out in April, will include appearances from Eve, Redman, Snoop Dogg, DJ Quik, Xzibit, Fabolous, Lil' Mo, Memphis Bleek, Freeway, Icarus, Warren G, Knoc-Turn'al, and newcomer Rob Stricklong.
