Support The "Free" Ras Kass Petition - 21 March, 2003 By : Overseer
RasKass-Central.com and a group of other sites are sponsoring a petition to try and get Prioity Records to free troubled rapper Ras Kass.

As previously reported Ras is still a fugitive from the law and when interviewed recently stated that he will endeavour to remain so until this dispute is resolved.


Their statement reads as follows : The members of the Hip Hop Community are hereby issuing this petition to Priority Records on behalf of John Austin (alias: Ras Kass). This petition's main objective is for the contractual release of John Austin from the recording label Priority Records. In return, John Austin will return all Priority "owned" materials in his possession. The reasoning for this petition stems from the mistreatment of John Austin and the inappropriate and irresponsible management of his music career, which includes album release delays and cancellations, a consistent lack of support and coherency, financial ineptness, and many more related problems in a course of approximately 48 months. This petition is not to degrade Priority Records in any way, but to give John Austin his fair due which is to release him from his music recording contract.

Yeah everyone should support this petition to get a lyrical genious out of contract which has basically threatened to ruin his career. And remember, Daz has said that DPG Recordz are looking to sign Ras Kass, so if all his fans can get Ras Kass released from his contract at Priority you may see him hooking up with Daz and co very shortly.

Also Ras central is gonna become an "Official" Ras site and get interviews and updates from Ras himselve and his managment.
