Iraq was in violation of a cease fire agreement from 1991!

a  unanomous vote in the UN was passed to disarm Iraq illeagal weapons such as scuds....which saddam agreed to not have and to destory back in 1991......which he didn't! Iraq was given alllllll the time in the world to disarm and surrender  but they didn't.

Jake is right in what he says, to an extent. And I don't think this is all some Masonic plot to take over the world.

BUT...Though I think Bush would rather have disarmed Iraq and left it for the Kurds and Shia to deal with, I think he reckoned disarming them partially was good, so if the USA did "have" to go in, it would face fewer threats. Good politics and military tactics. Not cowardice.
