Quik & Amir off of Bungalow
« on: March 22, 2003, 04:15:32 AM »
Dunno if you all saw this already, but I read at the dj-quik.net forum that DJ Quik and new artist Amir are off of Bungalow Records. Apparently they left voluntarily, and now Amir's album is up in the air until they find a new label.

I thought Bungalow was a decent label. Distribution and promotion wasn't great but it was a good independent with some backing from Universal so it had something to work with. Anyway, I'm sure Quik knows what he's doing.

What does everyone think?

Quik should go independent himself. Back in the days he and all the members of his crew like 2nd II None, AMG, Playa Hamm, Suga Free, Hi-C, Mausberg, Str8-G and Penthouse Players Clique would have been such a dope label.

I support Quik's decision... but he's gonna have a hard time releasing Amir's album. Just look at Kam's album... that shit might not even come out cuz of its anti- government stance and Paris iz gonna have to release his shit over the internet.

That war really fucked everything up...Quik should just take out Bombs Over Saddam and release it... but... that would never happen.

But they only have it in vinyl.

It's Bungalo!

Whatever Quik does, I know he'll drop fresh music.
