What are your personal thoughts on Cano? I know nobody can really blame him for taking a contract worth $70 million more, but Mo Rivera completely shitted on the dude, saying he doesn't care about winning and has no hustle and whatnot.

I personally am neutral and sort of leaning towards being positive about Cano's departure.
For one thing I'm a Yankee fan who is not retarded and actually has the ability to think logically. I know we don't come around too often but we do exist.
For another, I'm ecstatic because the Yankees don't have to pay him that retarded 10 year contract the M's gave him or that other retarded 9 year contract the M's originally offered or that slightly less retarded but still retarded 7 year contract the Yankees offered.
And I can't forget about all the lolz from seeing stupid Yankees fans and their even stupider comments. I especially like how everybody waited until Cano was officially gone to slap the "lazy Latino" tag on him.
The only negative things I have to say about Cano's departure are that I hate how the Yankees squandered the draft pick they got from the Mariners as compensation and I still stand by my opinion that they should've traded Cano at the trade deadline in 2013. 2013 was a lost season for the Yankees anyway and they should've taken advantage of a lot of teams who could've used Cano in the playoffs (looking at you Detroit, Texas and St. Louis).

He definitely cares about winning. By all accounts he's been a leader since Spring Training here, helping out with the young guys which he apparently didn't do in NY. Kyle Seager's been following him around since he got here, Seager was a solid player before but made his first all star team this year. Can't help but think he at least had something to do with that. As far as the hustle, yeah there's times when he doesn't book it down the line on an easy groundball, but it's not like he's the only guy in the league that does that. It's hard to complain about what he's done so far. Yeah, I definitely expected more home runs but the guys at least hitting in the .330's in a crappy lineup. As far as adjusting to a new team, division, etc it's nothing like when Pujols first came to LA, or when Beltre came here for that matter.

You have no idea how much I fucking wish we made a rental trade for Cano in 2013. Yes we would lose prospects for a few months of a rental, but to get a championship? Absolutely. The fact that we even got to the NLCS with Mark Ellis at 2B is incredible, and considering Hanley, Ethier, and Kemp were all out of the play-offs, we REALLY could have used that offense.

Yeah minus the power numbers, I expect Cano to have a very consistent and injury-free career for at least 60% or 70% of his contract.
