I guess they didn't want to risk him getting hurt, but if the Packers and Seahawks play in the playoffs and the Packers don't utilize Rodger's legs then I can only call it complete stupidity. Its silly to stay in the pocket against a Carrol defense when you have a QB that can run. I'm predicting it now, Cam Newton is going to make this defense look horrible on Oct. 26. As bad as Vince Young made the Trojans look. A pocket passer has little chance against it, but a runner can make them old and tired fast.

I seriously doubt mobile QBs are the Seahawk's weakness. Keep in mind they faced Colin Kaepernick 3 times last year and they didn't give up 20 points in any of them. And the Panthers could only put up 7 points against the Seahawks last year.
I will say that mobile QB's have given them problems in comparison to pocket passers, the obvious example being how much more difficult Kap was to stop in the playoffs last year as opposed to Manning. With that said though, to say that Cam (who hasn't done shit against them the last two times they've played) will look like Vince Young against the Trojans is pretty comical.
yeah, i thought green bay was/is a 10 win team this year but maybe i overestimated that offensive line
