Seinfeld >>> Curb

...was just watching my favorite Seinfeld Episode yesterday "The Switch" where Jerry tries to pull off the greatest move in dating history with the help of the mastermind George Constanza and wants to swap out and date his girlfriend's roommate (instead of her) because the roommate actually laughs at his jokes

After an all-nighter at the diner they come up with the perfect plan.. which ends up going.. a little too perfect, lol, and Jerry can't go through with it, much to George's dismay

ha ha I remember that episode, thank God for Netflix where I can rewatch them

Seinfeld was great, probably the best comedy to air on network TV for sure but I would put Curb above it

I prefer just the rawness that they were able to portray by airing on HBO instead of NBC and the fact that it gains Larry as a main character rather than in the background just as a writer

it also felt less scripted and more improvised at times

Oh yeah I just let the seasons run on Netflix --- finish all 9 and then start them all over -- sort of like background noise even when I'm doing other things around the apartment

 a few?

that's not much mate.  Because I've also watched "a few" full curb episodes.  I'd say I've watched at least a dozen full Curb episodes front to back and I enjoyed. If it was easily accessible on Netflix I'd certainly watch.

I like Curb, and Larry David is a genius and one of my favorite comedians.  But, Jerry is my absolute favorite comedian of all time.  I've read two of his books (and I also really enjoyed Michael Richard's (Kramer) autobiography that came out a couple years ago.

Jerry's humor is a bit more clean and thought-provoking, and Larry doesn't have as much class as Jerry.  Larry goes a bit dirty sometimes.  That's one difference, but there are several.

i like jerry better in real life ... the way he goes in on the free palestine mob and cancel culture

larry seems a bit more liberal

but as far as comedy goes, larry's raw, "i don't give a fuck what people think" personality really hits home .. almost like eminem in his prime

jerry's comedy, albeit great, seems a little more on the contrived side

Well Larry David's comedy is more along the lines of what they call "Method Acting".  Think of like that famous comedian Andy Kaufman (wasn't that his name).  Where they actually are the person; like all the time in character.  Verses Jerry's style where he's coming up with a witty joke.
