This is the original version to Kool G Rap' song called "First Nigga" that was produced by DJ Premier.
The OG version was produced by Dr. Dre and got re-produced by Premo because the music didn't fit the overall conceptual production on G Rap's Rawkus debut-album, so the beat was later passed on to Ice Cube for his now classic "Hello" song..
This version was featured on the rare whitelabel 12'' released in 2000, before the actual album dropped.

So did they record a new album? I remember them saying back in 2000 they were going to drop the new NWA album.

They were oke songs.. But in mine opinion not  a NWA-classic song.

So much talent and experience...and then those songs...

Both songs are classic, but chin check was the first NWA song in roughly a decade and had every1 anticipating the reunion album like a mufucka .. For that fact, I voted chin check. Hello is right there tho.

It's hard to say... they're both good but in such different ways, and with very different flaws.

Dre's verse from Hello comes off wrong.  Obviously Eminem wrote it, but it sounded waaaaay too Eminem-ish with the Slim Shady LP era flow.  The beat is cool though.

Like others have said, Snoop doesn't quite fit the vibe of Chin Check.  I remember years ago when the song came out, people were thinking Quik would've been a much better fit, with him actually being from Compton while also having the higher-pitched rapping voice like Eazy did.

Just can't fuck with Ice Cube's verse on Hello.

On a different note...is something wrong with DubCNN page? I haven't been able to get on for a while.

that beat destroyed the song, with a dope beat it would've been a classic
