Why is this song so rare and hard to find?  What soundtrack/compilation was it on?

I remember "Bad-N-Flu-Enz" hooked it up back in tha day and I believe he said it was Produced by Ant Banks but when I scroll thru Ant Banks' discography I don't see anything, same with $hort's.

What did I miss?  And can anybody hook it up?  Shit bangs 10x harder than tha album version

Yeah, hook it up.  Never heard this but I'm interested to hear.  They had a couple different mixes of the Too Short song, I'd even like to hear the Marvin Gaye song that was sampled, if someone can link me.

I'm not even a Too Short or Bay Area hip-hop fan, but "Gettin It" is one of the greatest songs in hip-hop history and I bumped it nearly every day in the Summer of 96'.  It was like a Swan song because at the time Too Short was supposed to be one of the first rappers ever to retire from the game.  (Then of course later it became a fad to say you were retiring for publicity and then get another round of publicity for making your comeback)

Im pretty sure the Band played it live.  But its been so long since I heard it that Im not 100% sure if a Sax is on there.

My old PC crashed and burned and recently when my Sister came to visit she snatched my USB with all my hard(er) to find shit on there.  Karma i guess lol

But i definitely remember BadNFluEnz hooked it up a few years back for me.  I tried searching for the Topic but the Search Function on here is wild.  Its definitely worth a look.  That version is way better than the album version.  Its more mellow and GFunky-like.  Its pretty sick

Thanks for uploading! Looking forward to hearing this when we can get a reup.

What version of the album has it on there? I see it's on the vinyl release on discogs but I don't think the CD version with the back cover you posted is on there.
