Could someone please explain letter 2 my unborn child for me? It sure sounded like Pac had a baby on the way judging from that song.
2 Corinthians 6:8
By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true;

6:9
As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed;

6:10
As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

What's there to explain?  It's just a song concept he had, and he obviously looked forward to fatherhood.  Plus Pac was pretty good about not shooting the club up, so I doubt that he had a kid on the way.

Mopreme's predictions about Pac and Kidada getting married seem pretty meaningless, considering the fact that Mopreme wasn't around Pac for the final months of his life. I suspect that it was in these months that strife between them grew. I'd trust Frank's opinion on this subject ("Kidada was a bitch") more than Mopreme's.

I wouldn't call it a "strife" as much as it was Mopreme getting punked by Death Row and pushed out of the picture while Pac kept his allegiance with Death Row.  Pac was with the program.  Not saying it was the most righteous thing to do, but he wasn't half-assing his appreciation for getting bailed out and signed to the label.

While Mopreme was telling an old story that we all knew already, I agree that Frank would be a better source since he was around Pac very often during that time, his recollections have been exaggerated and at times wildly inaccurate.  God rest his soul, but a good third of that book of his was fluff.

I actually meant that I suspect strife between Pac and Kidada was more pronounced during the final months of Pac's life than before, when Mopreme was around.

The drifting apart of Pac and Mopreme is interesting in this regard, too, though.

This may seem like a dumb question, but surely Pac was not faithful to Kidada in 1996, right? I have the impression that he was fucking tons of bitches that year. I don't think Pac ever was monogamous. Even when he was in jail and married, he was writing tons of letters to different bitches, arranging for them to fuck once he got out the pen (see his letters to Angela Ardis).

Maybe. But when you have Biggie saying Faith was pregnant with Pac's child it makes you wonder. Plus the song doesn't sound like a story that he just placed himself. As a writer and someone familiar with Pac's catalog, I feel that song was meant to be taken at face value. Then there is the Busta Rhymes album credits mentioning Tupac's daughter.

You can read it right after the red letter portion.

Very interesting stuff right here. Thanks for posting it.

It's clearly not a typo or a random accident since he says "your daughter" and "her mother." I guess Busta knew a woman who believed she had a child with Pac?

Jmix, you should interview Busta and ask him.

Oh whoops, haha.  I don't think there was a ton of strife between Pac and Kidada.  She was a few years younger than he was plus she grew up rich, so there's always going to be some shit you have to deal with in that kind of a situation... but nothing I'd consider strife.

Pac definitely wasn't faithful to her, but in all fairness, they were dating and not married (not that it makes it right).  Though it's kind of a given that a guy like Pac and of his level of stardom would be getting ass just thrown at him.

Good find, but I have my doubts because of the questions it raises.  Busta really wasn't close to Pac, so how/why would he know if Pac had a daughter?  And even if it were true, wouldn't there have been 100 other people closer to Pac who would have known and have said something by now (or at least before he did)?  It's just odd from a logical standpoint.

I forgot to post the song where Biggie says that faith is pregnant with Pac's child:

"If faith had twins she'd probaly have 2pac's." - Biggie
^probably the weakest line every spit in the history of Hip Hop.

A few more subliminals at Pac on the track:
"Who shot ya" "Baby baby." < Pac and Big Syke's creation. Probably a few more shots on the track.
Maybe this track is the reason why Pac got at Jay-Z?

Did he say who the mother was?

It's not entirely implausible that Pac should have a daughter. He probably fucked about 1,000 bitches, and I'm sure he didn't always wear a condom. Maybe he had a daughter with a woman who wants to keep it secret and avoid becoming famous. Maybe she's afraid that if people knew of the daughter's lineage, the daughter wouldn't get to live a normal life.
