not saying he is but if he wants to get noticed and not some rapper that's here today and next year forgotten he better be aiming high

He's already been noticed.  That's why he can put out albums for sale now rather than for free.  He has a core audience that will buy his albums that he used his free mix tapes to build.  If he didn't have a grassroots buzz, he would still be putting out free mixtape albums to build his audience.

As for "he better be aiming high," he's already turned down offers from major labels to stay indie.  Not every artist wants to be a global brand.  It's exactly what Black Male said, Dom is not purposely not driving down Kendrick's lane neither artistically nor business-wise.  I don't even know why people compare them other than vague notions of them both being "new west" artists.  If Dom wanted Kendrick's popular success with mainstream appeal, he wouldn't be turning down major label deals.

im not saying join a big label im saying be different separate yourself from the rest be hungry humble the whole tde movement were a bunch of nobody's they did there shit
they didnt follow a trend and look at today

dom is ok but is missing charisma and quite boring at times anybody can put out albums for sale the question is is anyone going to buy it ask shortyo lol

Dom makes LA music, he makes his music for cats from LA and from the west and makes good money doing that, enough money where he turned down deals with labels like Maybach music, etc. I woulnd't even say he is trying to follow trends, doms lyrics are hella simple, but thats what makes him dope. I'd say the same for Casey Veggies too...

Casey Veggies with the right production could be a big star one day
and fuck making music from where you from if dom wants to stay local then that's on him its retarded and irrelevant to make music for just the west

Another great offering from Dom, stuck to the same formula as "Get Home Safely," but almost entirely solo, I dig it. One of the more consistent rappers in the game for sure.
