MC Ren Blasts N.W.A "Straight Outta Compton" Movie Promotion

at first i was like nigga just be happy you gettin some shine again...but then i think back as a kid mc ren was very respected as a lyricist he was like the west coast chuck d before cube went solo. its kinda fucked up. he ghost wrote damn near everything e did after nwa disbanded didnt he?

Ren, BG KO and Dre'sta wrote ALL of Eazy's music once Cube bounced, and probably a few others

I think MC Ren as well as DJ Yella have every right to be upset. The trailer is basically the cliff notes to the movie. This is an NWA movie, not a Eazy-E, Ice Cube, & Dr.Dre movie. NWA is a 5 man group, not 3. Regardless of who went on to become more popular after the group disbanded, the movie is on the group itself so the group should be present in the trailer. You think if a Beatles movie came out right now just John & Paul would be in the trailer? Hell no because theyre legends & NWA should get that same respect.   Look at the official movie poster http://movieweb.com/straight-outta-compton-poster/ notice Ren & Yella slightly in the back like they security lol.

The poster has em all listed and thats what most folk will see:



Only the hardcore euro nerd wiggas, people living in the past and young kids who listed to GTA radio will be peeping for the trailer and they already know who Yella and Ren are. The whole point of the trailer is to catch the random flick watching, was there but don't really care, "hey look its that guy from...." crowd.

What the heck does Ren want? Should they retitle the film to THE MC REN (+ some other guys) MOVIE EXTRAVAGANZA

Cube, Dre and Eazy are upfront as they were the most charismatic/vocal/pimped by the media at the time. We should all have a whip round and send some funds to Arabian Prince:

1. Who gives a fuck if they mentioned you in that 3 minute trailer when the movie is going to be about 2 hours and features "you" God knows how many times.
2. This film is going to introduce you to a whole new generation of fans. Think about how many teenage white kids started walking around reppin Wu-Tang after Drake did that song. This will be a similiar case for The Villain
3. Calling them bitches and saying fuck them when they're the ones who are booking the promo for the movie...smh. Dumbass
