Who's Really Gangbangin'?
« on: April 12, 2003, 05:30:41 PM »
My opinion would have to be Caz. After reading his interview on wc2k he had a lot of things to say about about his life experiences. I hate when other rappers try to tell the public is who is a fake thug. For example, if y'all listen to the Spyda interview he just kept bashing dpg rappers about their street credibilty. He is bragging about his life experiences and how he fucked up Bad Azz and shit. Nobody cares about Spyda, he just a crumb on the table. LoL!

Let me tell y'all from experience and knowing some of these  brothers personally. NONE OF THEM are really "putting in work." Most still claim affiliation and their hoods, but none of them are actually on missions.
So many of their rhymes may be based on:

1. Shit they made up (ie. entertainment)

2. Based on personal experiences

3. Based on someone else's personal experiences

Just like Suge never banged in his life, but he claims the set where he grew up in. Coolio never banged in his life (and he'd tell you that), but he claims his hood. So if you think the opposite, then you are very gullible.  ::)

LMAO!  Since when did you guys go to Long Beach and do your research.  Tell me how the hell you know this?  Since someone from deathrow says that they ain't bangin, then that means its true right? ::)  Just cause mutha fuckas don't pull off a drive by everyday and rob people doesn't mean they don't bang.

Anyone know the story behind the three burns forming a triangle by Cube's eye? Mexican gangsters use it as a reference to My Crazy Life. I also remember Cube discussing it in a song but I can't remember which one. He says "Am I banging? Look at the scars on my face" or something like that.

Yeah I always thought they were moles too. I think the avatar is from the It Was a Good Day video, WestCoastVet always has nice avatars/signatures (I still have the one with Ice Cube and B Real on the couch with Cube holding a huge ass gun). And Lazy, you can see Cube's earliest videos on the Ice Cube Videos Volume 1 DVD:
Who's the Mack
Jackin 4 Beats
Dead Homiez
Steady Mobbin
True to the Game
Wicked
It Was a Good Day
Check Yo Self (Remix)
Bop Gun
Really Doe
You Know How We Do It
You Know How We Do It (Part 2, the Remix version)
Lil Ass Gee
What Can I Do?
plus a long interview with him talking to Flea and Anthony Keidas from Red Hot Chili Peppers on the Wicked video set.

The video is "It Was A Good Day".

I don't think they are moles. Look how perfectly shaped they are too make a triangle. If you've seen the movie South Central you would see they use this chemical which is black to leave a heart on their face and it reminds me of how the triangle looks on Cube's face.

I agree with Quik there ain't no time to gangbang since rappers have to make music and be in the studio. Doesn't every rapper do that so i guess no one is gangbangin'. Can someone give me the definition of gangbang? Because i always thought is was robbing, hustlin', and most importantly reppin' ur hood and gang. Probably 85% of rappers started off gangbangin' before getting into the music industry but can't really face that they ain't in the streets anymore, so they think they still doing it. What y'all think?
