I kept hearing about all these cats like Kendrick and Jay Cole from people I respect, and respect their musical tastes.  I kind of thought maybe I was just old school and unable to get into any of these newer artists.  But after hearing King Mez on Dre's album and then checking out some of his stuff—even though I'm in my early 30's and outdated a bit—this is a young dude I can really get behind and support.  I really couldn't get into Kendrick, I love him on Dre's album but that's it.  And Jay Cole I couldn't get into either... but this King Mez cat seems promising to my mid-90's sensibilities—I hope the young rap fans agree.

Kendrick Makes great records,

I pref Game, Nipsey, Jack Rock and Glasses Malone of the non nwa guys over him tho.

King Mez is cool but LOL at him being compared to Kendrick already... he needs at least one solid project of his own and another 2 years in the game and then we'll see

I'm not a Kendrick fan.  I only like Kendrick on COMPTON.  I sampled the singles off of Kendricks last album and I was less than impressed...

oh ok, thats why....yea, sampling singles isnt really gunna cut it for kendricks last album. i didnt really think the album was all that at first when listening to individual snippets n shit like that. but it's an actual album, meaning u wanna play it front to back to give it its proper due..shits pretty much like a story. so peep the kendrick album front to back n tell me what u think once u did that. remember when u listen that lucy is short for lucifer....enjoy.

King Mez's own mother wouldn't co-sign this bullshit.

Probably because they just did 16 fuckin tracks together lol. Hell I can't even tell King Mez apart from Dre with all the weird voices and shit he's doing.
