Well, those are the three previous governments of Iran/Persia, so I'm just asking: which would you prefer to live under?

The Shah had a more "decadent" Persia, one with cafes, jazz bars and a lack of burqas. That's my choice.

yeah but the shah was sellin out also, givin in to the US and iran would have been pumped poor if the us got what it wanted.

Word. Iran, like virtually all other Arab countries, has had a bad time of it since meeting the west on a large scale.

I think the best course of action for Iran would be a nationalist Persian leader who is dedicated to the furthering of his country.(a modern day Mohamed Mossadeq) I think that if Iran is led right, they can be a HUGE regional power within a decade. (they already are...).

The Shah and the Mullahs have both proven that they have lost the trust and support of the Iranian people.
