Similar to Jordan's 37.1 ppg season - he was tearing the scoring records down, but Bulls were only 42-40 that season, that's why he didn't get the award that year. Same with Kobe - individual accomplishments didn't help the team reach greater level, that's why Nash got the award.

An even bigger injustice tho was the Chris Paul to lakers deal being vetoed due to "basketball reasons" (illegal bullshit)... The fucked Kobes exit out the NBA and did us extremely dirty from 2012 to now....Kobe perhaps woulda got to 7, surpassing Jordan, and cementing his legacy as GOAT. If it was for MJ, stern woulda let that deal through.

I might sound biased on this even though i'm more Team Blake than Team CP3.  When it comes to trading a superstar player, here's what you want in return.  Draft picks, young talent, & expiring contracts.  Not the ripoff garbage the lakers were offering.  Finally other teams have seen the light & stopped helping them out.  Besides....none of the potential buyers of the N.O. team were gonna take the lakers crap offer.  CP3 still coulda joined the lakers in free agency if he wanted to.  But he wanted a challenge.  I still felt the clippers gave up too much to get CP3.
So enough of the stern hates the lakers garbage.  Stern mainly hates the celtics, pacers, & a few other small market teams.  His dream matchup would be the lakers vs. the lakers.

you're fuckin kidding me, right?

the lakers deal was pau gasol to the rockets- cp3 to the lakers- goran dragic, kevin martin, lamar odom, luis scola, and a 1st round pick from the knicks to the hornets.....instead, the hornets got eric gordon, chris kaman, al-farouq aminu, and a 1st round pick from the t-wolves, while also having to send 2 second round picks to the clippers along with cp3.......

the lakers deal was WAYYYYYYYYYYY better, and it's not even close. odom was coming off winning 6th man of the year, scola and kevin martin were still all-star caliber players in their primes, and goran dragic is better than anyone the clippers offered x1000. not to mention pau gasol, who was the centerpiece of the trade, is playing the best ball of his career as we speak. and if u say the hornets wanted draft picks, young talent, etc., then they fucked up on that end too, because in the clippers deal, they had to send 2 picks to the clippers on top of cp3. cmon, now.

the vetoing of that trade was a joke and possibly even an internal conspiracy, and you crazy for claimin anythin otherwise. robbed kobe of at least 2 more rings and the laker franchise of our impeccable record.
