Bumped "Full Circle" today. I maintain it's Xzibit's worst solo album.

Absolutely. Caviar tried to do the production from the scratch and they wanted to do like Full Circle 2.0 but it never happend.
I believe Dr.Dre should own Compton, Dr.Dre said X Man you're onto somethig...

I wonder who's featured on the joint with Ice Cube. My guess is Game but it'd be dope if it was King T or Kurupt (a motivated Kurupt).

Do you know why Xzibit never released the mmx album?

Man Vs Machine is disappointing in the sense it wasn't a good enough follow-up to Restless, but it's much better than Full Circle.

What was the single from this scrapped album? I barely remember that period. Hurt Locker?

Still think I'd put Napalm & Weapons of Mass Destruction ahead of Man vs. Machine.

Yes, Hurt Locker. I made a ep/mixtape around that time “mmx ep” with all songs that i got from this forum.

Yeah, he's looking rough in the video.  He looked way better in the official videos for his singles.  Either he put on weight real fast recently, or they edited those videos well to hide it.

That being said, I know X is 50, but, god damn, I'm 42 and if I look like that in 8 years, I'm going on a serious diet.

Yeah homie we the same age.

That was part of Xzibit’s image he was supposed to be this jacked dude like intensity on the mic and shows like “focus” and discipline he’s always rapping about lifting weights 🏋️‍♂️ and shit like that rappin about pushups and “double fisted” and all these “heavyweight” lyrics and boxing 🥊 “ding, ding”

So a fat and sloppy Xzibit tells you something ain’t right.  But then again the single and video was on point so who knows maybe he just let himself go for a bit but when he’s grinding and in the studio he’s back on his focus

u are right that man vs machine was disappointing as a follow up to restless

Through the years we’ve always pretty much been in agreement when it comes to X to the Z.  I mean, hell, this forum was pretty much founded on the West Coast resurgence era that got spearheaded when “Bitch Please” jumped off.

And you said it perfect, Man vs Machine was disappointing as a follow up to Restless but Man vs Machine still had its moments/bangers.  It was still a great time to be a West Coast head and great time in music.

Restless was damn near a perfect album.  People don’t like to say that cause you don’t sound smart when you state the obvious so they like to find some more obscure record to make them look smart (I believe that’s pretty much any fan of the Roots but that’s a different subject, lol)  but yeah man Restless was like a fucking life-altering album for me like everything from it being announced that Dre was on board to the promotion, to me seeing him perform “X” at Anger Management and getting that little album 💿 sampler disc, to the source cover, the home video release that came with it.  I mean I literally had like a year run with that album.

So those were big shoes to fill and for half of Man vs Machine it seemed like Xzibit was filling those shoes!  When we first heard the leak of “Symphony in X Minor” it was next level, and “Say My Name” was next level and surpassed “Don’t Approach Me”.  “Heart of Men” was really inspiring and a great sample from an 80’s childhood song had me all in my emotions and feelings that’s when I came to LA and was staying wit Siavash.  The Snoop cut on there was better than the Snoop cut on Restless.  It was all coming together… “Release Date” was a dope double entendre type opening to the album.  It charted well first week.

But then out of nowhere came the filler on the album.  He had to have had other tracks in the can.  You can’t be recording with Dre and affiliates for that long and not have more in the can?   How could they let those terrible sounding cuts onto the album?  Some of that shit sounded awful like unlistenable.  He was only one or two bangers away from another Restless.

Then of course Napalm was an amazing comeback record.

Hurt Locker was so dope. I don't remember what else was released around that time that was supposed to be on the album?

I personally prefer WMD, but it's definitely close. Not a lot between them.

Symphony in X major, multiply, say my name.. incredible records on Man vs machine.

On the flip side, can't believe X/Dre made something as wack as Choke Me Pull My Hair ... The Snoop joint also prod by Dre doesn't live up to expectations.
