I think working with Dre you pretty much should just do shit for free.  Like favor for a favor.  That's how him and Snoop work and I've heard that confirmed in interviews.  This is pretty much the way Dre likes to work.  I'm sure it's likely the same way with Xzibit and many others.  You bless Dre and Dre will bless you back.

Man vs Machine charted top 5, sold over 100,000 in the first week and went gold at least maybe even platinum.. I’m guessing though that Xzibit didn’t make a lot of points/percentage on his albums... probably makes money touring, been in movies, pimp my ride, then some record sales and other business ventures but his house on cribs was modest
