20 Dollars.
Damn this joint is dope… any more info on it?
Prod. by Swoop G. It was recorded for the "Murder Was The Case" soundtrack, but didn't make it. It ended up on both of Swoop's first two albums.
a reason I think that "Murder Was The Case" is the GOAT soundtrack is when you have leftovers of this caliber
Hell yeah. Is there a list (on Bomb1st for example) of everything that was recorded for it?
The Question is why the Song didn't make da cut
good question...I was going to say "Hot Ones" by O.F.T.B. but that was on the cassette version...how about "Mysery"? theres a couple of versions of that track, one with Kurupt and Snoop and one with Kurupt and Slipits definitely good enough to have made the cut but I imagine there was a limit of songs they wanted on the album...Im trying to think of what it could have replaced but there is no filler on there
Jewell "Harvest for the World" was weak... but Dre is a master at sequencing albums so maybe he just wanted to slow things down a bit, for a small Chronic break between all the hardcore gangsta shit.. mix it up with some R&B. But I definitely always skipped the Jewell joint. Same thing with the B-Rezell joint I always skipped it, but Dre was just mixing in R&B. ...but definitely they could've cut the Slip Capone "Eulogy" joint out for the Swoop joint, that would of worked sequentially as well. I always skipped the Slip Capone joint as well; though listening to it now it doesn't sound that bad so maybe I was just sleepin on it
"The Eulogy" is a classic.
No way I’m taking off the CPO and Slip Capone track from the soundtrack, that’s one of the highlights on an album full of highlights. I love the way the beat comes in with that intense echoing bass punch at the start, really sets the tone for the dark nature of the track.
