I have hopes after the Marsha album that it will be incredibly well produced. But I am a little concerned from the people saying repeatedly it sounds different, Hed's reaction wasn't great and I just pray to God it doesn't sound like I Need a Doctor.

Full albums produced by Dre do not disappoint so far, so let's see.

I think for Dre it is his detox album that never came out, where he can experiment with new sound. My hope is that Snoop was there, he had his idea of detox at the time. Since he now listens to the album every day in his boombox and he finds it fire, I think the two bring out something good. Probably you have to listen to the album more often when it comes out

If it is along the lines of psychedelic rock, given Dre's use of instrumentation on Marsha's album, that could be mind-blowing.

I didn't get that impression from the interview.
He has been told not to give away any info about the album, but he just said it sounds different, but said 'oh shit' while he was nodding his head giving the impression that he did like it.
One thing is for sure that it will be a totally different sound and will sound nothing like Doggystyle (not that I was expecting it to), but I think people are naturally always going to compare it Doggystyle and will be disappointed in comparison.
I'm going to treat it on it's own merit and hopefully it's music that has longevity.
