Nothing? He's just gonna be a tool for Dre and his team on this.

What's the big deal? Bush was basically a Pharrell album as far as who had artistic control. Missionary is a Dre album as far as who has artistic control.

Weren't Snoop and Dre at odds over how many songs to include? Looks as if Dre won out. IIRC, Dre wanted 15 traccs.
"Detox" is a myth -- Bigfoot, Loch Ness Monster, Area 51, Iraq having WMD, Detox...you get it now?  It was invented by the Aftermath marketing department to maintain the fans' attention.  Notice how everytime a new Aftermath album is ready to come out, they always mention Detox is next up?  Because they are using the invention of "Detox" as a way to market other albums.  The sooner you realize that Detox is NOT REAL, the sooner you'll feel liberated.  Oh yeah, f.u. Aftermath for fooling us fans.

Snoop has been using reference songs for years. You can actually tell when a song is not written by him. At this point he is just a performer and that is fine. As long as the vibe is good. Nipsey wrote a few songs for Snoop as well (in the past)

What's the big deal?

Not really a big deal if they take the 'Boyz-N-Hood' Eazy route, that turned out classic.

But Snoop wrote most of the shit on The Chronic/Doggystyle, and most of his own stuff during his prime.
I would prefer one of the best west-coast rappers of all time to be spittin shit from his own mind and soul on his own album (Especially on this, Dre's talent on the music, Snoop's on the lyrics).
If he's still capable of it, do it.
Elite rappers used to be proud of rappin they own shit.

Knock it out better then any new Aftermath writers could do for him.

We are just speculating at this point anyway.

Exactly what I'm going to wrote right now.

He penned much of The Chronic. Dunno about he penned/helped in Doggystyle, except as a "ghostwriter".

For me that beat and Snoops flow sure is, Dre magic creepin up.
Still not feeling the hook.

Marco will have the instrumental soon  ;)

Snoop has been using writers for most of his career. Tha Doggfather album had other writers as well.  Through the years he has been using people like Soopafly, Bad Azz, Kurupt, DOC, Nipsey, Problem, Mistah Fab, The dream, Jay Z, Andersoon Paak and more.

he had help on doggystyle as well

If he did it would be his in-house Death-Row homies and from elite MCs of the time like Kurupt, RBX, Rage etc...on the same page as himself but we also know Snoop wrote classics by himself too, that's undisputed.
