I'm happy they didnt go with Ariana Grande or Sabrina Carpenter for the chorus

or Skylar Grey

October London should have been utilized on the chorus.

This album needs at least one stone-cold classic track otherwise I think it will be considered a disappointment.  I’m hoping for at least some typical Snoop gangsta rap over standard Dre bangers but looking at the tracklist I’m not so sure.

I really hope this album lives up to the hype generated over the last 2 years or so.  It wouldn’t be right if Snoop went out with a tepid album produced by Dr. Dre.

I’ll try and keep an open mind for now until there’s more music.

It just needs one 10/10 track for you to not be a disappointment? For real? We've been waiting on a dre produced snoop dogg album for 30 years. If at least half of the songs aren't 10/10 songs then this album will be a disappointment for me.

I'm hoping to be blown away.

If anything, the Em/50 joint will probably blow us away, but I'm officially concerned about the rest of the album.

temper expectations folks

if we get a compton level album we will be extremely lucky

even 75% of compton would be good with me, considering the first 2 joints we heard

or Skylar Grey

Skylar Grey usually appears in Alex da Kid's beats, and in this case he didn't produce any track for this album, your beats are annoying. Thank God.

yeah Compton was 9 years ago now so I'm not expecting that type of level either

I'm not...that way I don't get disappointed

if it is a classic then I'll be more than happy but judging from the first 2 joints we heard it will probably have its moments but be inconsistent

One thing this album will have over Compton is Snoop vs
Dre (the voice and flows were terrible aside from four or five tracks); Gorgeous is “catchier” than anything on Compton BUT they didn’t quite pull it off.    Compton’s hightlights were dope AF (Animals, Diary, All in a Days Work, One Shot, Foe the Love, It’s All On Me, Darkside/Gone)….it may be hard to match the quality of these tracks, but I definitely think this album will have bigger hits and gain more traction with the general public.

i think the rapping on compton is very underrated

no, it’s not typical dre …. but whatever he was spittin was dope in its own unique way

features were all on point too

as far as catchiness, i’m not sure gorgeous is that catchy tbh .. chorus is very forgettable, doesn’t really stick in your mind. a song like satisfiction off compton (which isn’t even one of the bests) is better executed and more catchy imo

missionary should be bigger regardless based on marketing …. compton went gold, i expect missionary to get to platinum. should be interesting to see.

What didn't you like about Gorgeous?
2 Corinthians 6:8
By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true;

6:9
As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed;

6:10
As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

The hook for one (I don’t mind it but it could be way better).   The production is tight, but needs a bass line.

Im not expecting anything Gangsta from Snoop he is considered a POP icon, anything gangsta from him would be fake and laughable at this point, hence why we still have people Tha Eastsidaz; its a bit more authentic and believable. I expect this album to be about who he is now, a Pop icon and a musical performer, good music to vibe to. Gorgeous is fine though, but Rihanna or Beyonce on the chorus would take it where it needed to be.
