Shut yo bitch ass up. Go jack off to some 90s hip hop and argue someone you can win the argument with mark. You from the westcoast? Fuck no, westcoast of Germany some shit. I know a poser when I read a poser's post. Eat a zip lock bags of dicks, diet it and go play on the freeway loser. Ya momma pathetic for letting yo daddy fertilize her rotten egg and have you. She gotta be suicidal to see what she gave birth to.

Well this escalated quickly... Anyone want to discuss the actual music?

Also to the puppets that keep saying … “they older now, they not making gangsta music, grow up” etc etc

STFU

With tracks entitled ‘Gunz N Smoke’ & ‘Gangsta Pose’ don’t really look like it’s not supposed to appeal to the fans who like gangsta shit!

And if it’s too 90’s for you here in 2024… go cry on social media cause you at the wrong place.

That's just them trying to appeal to everyone.

Not totally neglecting their core fan base, but also not wanting to make an entire album for them.

You keep bringing up Ice Cube.  Not sure why?  His post didn’t mention him.

Anyways, I get what he was trying to say.  And since you keep comparing Snoops new music with Dre to what Cube has put out. - there’s no chance in hell people would be loving Dre’s production if it sounded like Cubes first two singles.  They are good, but Dre made those type of beats 25-30 years ago.  And a better version of them.

So I’m glad he’s creating different shit and making new music that doesn’t sound like that era back then.  I’m in my 40’s and don’t need to hear 50 year olds making worse versions of what they made in the 90’s.  I’ll listen to the old shit if I’m in the mood for that now.  The new snippets sound dope to me and I’m looking forward to hearing more of the album.  I think it will be great, and it’s going to be well received from people outside of this board.

So instead you wanna hear Dre make worse versions of classic rock songs??!!

2001 is best sounding album in music history. All genres. I dont expect nothing but that on this snoops album. Lyrics and type of beats i dont care.

2001 was the best mixed rap album ever back then improving what Quik did a year earlier with Rhythmalism but with all the new tech there are better sounds right now. Dre's new stuff sounds better sonically if you just check the kicks alone. If you go back to 2001 some of the drums sound dated now to me and some of the sounds and synths used are starting to show their age. Storch used to love using workstation keyboards back then.

Don't get me wrong I think 2001 is massive. It made me want to make beats but I think Quincy Jones did a better job with Thriller.

give me those “dated” drums over these super crisp, thin sounding new age mixes we hearing ala “gorgeous”

live music has a thicker consistency to it.. it’s also why vinyl sounds so much more authentic than digital

Gorgeous is a bad example I'm not a fan of those drums either.

So what did I miss?  Sccit hollered at me about the album, but why?

The album hasn't dropped, and all you guys are doing on here is complaining about the two songs that were released.  Also, when I searched for the "new Snoop songs" all I got were a bunch of those fan made youtube joints.

So am I missing anything?  If I'm missing something then let me know.  If not, then wake me up when the album releases to ITunes.

(I will give it a chance on the strength of Snoop coming to his dog senses and supporting Trump and the possibility that Dre throwing up devil horns since 2020' doesn't mean he sold his soul, and the Marsha album was not an indication that he doesn't have it anymore)

I think Dre & Snoop missed a real opportunity not having Anderson Paak on the album especially if they're going for a more mature sound because AP can bring that with a more old school feeling. ETA was a good example of that and with these new track off Cordae's album which Anderson kills.

pre-ordered my CD

https://interscope.com/collections/snoop-dogg-missionary/products/missionary-standard-cd

not expecting much judging from what we've already heard but it is still an event when Dre and Snoop do an album after all these years
