I don’t understand people complaining in here?  Those snippets all sound extremely fire.  The Jelly Roll track and the Sting sample both sound dope as fuck and both like they could be huge hit records.  Snoop sounds better than he has almost ever on these previews as well.  Wtf is going on in here ??

give me those “dated” drums over these super crisp, thin sounding new age mixes we hearing ala “gorgeous”

live music has a thicker consistency to it.. it’s also why vinyl sounds so much more authentic than digital

100 Percent! I truly believe that 2001 was the peak of "hip hop" in terms of production (melodies, mix, master). I discussed with a lot of rap nerds, but there is really no album that is as relevant sonically to this day! All genres best album is exaggerated though. You can't compare it to Thriller, but it's very near in that field.

When will the drink champs episode be on youtube? I am really curious if they discussed the legacy of 2001, since they filmed it on the 25th birthday...

To be honest the snippets sound better than excepted, but that "Outta Da Blue" joint is terrible...

They need to shoot a high budget video for one of them joints. The impact will be bigger and good visuals always help. Like Eminem did with "Houdini" or Ice Cube with "It's my Ego".

Dre saying “put your hands in the air if you don’t give a fuck” was so corny it made me laugh. Cue Dre mean mug loc meme

I think Dre & Snoop missed a real opportunity not having Anderson Paak on the album especially if they're going for a more mature sound because AP can bring that with a more old school feeling. ETA was a good example of that and with these new track off Cordae's album which Anderson kills.

paak not on there is weird AF

october london as well

I’ve been bumpin Two Tens and Summer Drop for months STEADY; Paak murders those tracks

I think those previews sound pretty decent. Agree with everyone that the strongest sounding one is sadly the one that's not on Missionary, but maybe it'll be on a deluxe version or something.

I quite like the sound of the Sting track, but I'll withhold judgement until I hear it in full. Still not liking the Outta Da Blue track very much though, was really hoping they'd changed the beat from the Netflix trailer

2 Corinthians 6:8
By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true;

6:9
As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed;

6:10
As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

Also to the puppets that keep saying … “they older now, they not making gangsta music, grow up” etc etc

STFU

With tracks entitled ‘Gunz N Smoke’ & ‘Gangsta Pose’ don’t really look like it’s not supposed to appeal to the fans who like gangsta shit!

And if it’s too 90’s for you here in 2024… go cry on social media cause you at the wrong place.

Haha, indeed!

And let's not forget what happend when Dre said goodbye to "Gangsta shit" before..

So what did I miss?  Sccit hollered at me about the album, but why?

The album hasn't dropped, and all you guys are doing on here is complaining about the two songs that were released.  Also, when I searched for the "new Snoop songs" all I got were a bunch of those fan made youtube joints.

So am I missing anything?  If I'm missing something then let me know.  If not, then wake me up when the album releases to ITunes.

(I will give it a chance on the strength of Snoop coming to his dog senses and supporting Trump and the possibility that Dre throwing up devil horns since 2020' doesn't mean he sold his soul, and the Marsha album was not an indication that he doesn't have it anymore)

Album isn't out.  A few low quality snippets came out on a podcast, you didn't miss anything....go back to sleep, we'll wake you when the whole album drops proper.

Not exactly my cup of tea, but Snoop and Dre have two potential
massive hits on their hands with the Sting and Jelly Roll songs.

If there’s two things the average  music fan likes right now, it’s lazy 80’s/90s  remakes and Jelly Roll

I only heard 20 seconds of the Sting remake and it’s been in my head since
