Yes. Somthing is odd. Looking like snoop pays for promo, no real push from the interscope.
I mean, Interscope ain't dumb, they know Snoop won't sell much in 2024
That guy who wrote that HHDX article clearly doesn't know much about album sales lol

It doesn't make any financial sense for them to do more videos. It's not going to equate to extra sales or profit just because there's a video for one of the tracks. Not in 2024. If anyone's to blame it's the streaming platforms and those who use them.

Also Dre's MOJO is "Less is more" while Snoop will be all over your face

After not bumping this for a few days, I went back to it.

Somehow I’m feeling production on the lazy remakes (Another Part of Me and Mary Jane) but wish Dre would leave the east coast samples alone (and I’m a huge east coast head since 93).

But really…if they wouldn’t have teased us by saying this was a follow-up to Doggystyle, I think this would be better received.  It’s definitely missing that signature Dre thump, but so was most of Compton and GTA and Marsha.

About five terrible choruses and some bland beats, but Snoop’s rapping is what keeps me coming back to this.   Snoop has made MANY songs over the years trying to recreate that early DR sound but hes always been missing the flow- at least this album has that.

labcabin records woulda turned gorgeous into a Still Dre level joint

it had mad potential tbh .. as stated earlier, the issue was the chorus, the lack of bassline, the verses sounding cut n paste, and the overdone brightness which doesn’t help to hide those from

but don’t trip, we’re taking over from where dre left off

Setting expectations fairly high for your upcoming work.   You planning on really trying to recreate that classic DR/Aftermath sound?

i’m not tryna recreate anything

we’re working with the glove big hutch jellyroll daz mars west coast stone and more as co-producers & session players

and the album will be loaded with the same legends we’ve been working with for rbx and fatlip release and even bigger names this time around

i have no doubt in my mind it will be closer to that west coast sound those disappointed in missionary were looking for

Album sales are so irrelevant in the streaming era.  Different times. Barely matters.

What are the chances of a DELUXE version: album (+thank you) disc 1, instrumental album disc 2?

For the people that didn't buy a physical copy, would you now?
For the people that did buy, would you buy this version too?

I saw the CD and Vinyl in store today, but I want to wait and see if they will re-release it before buying

It’s official. Dre is going to fall into a deep depression and not release anything for a long time

I was just thinking, now that he finally released Marsha, and Snoop.  Did a bit with Xzibit, Em dropped not too long ago.  What's next on Dre's horizon?  What's the next big project he's going to be working on?  Perhaps a new 50 Cent album?

After debuting at number 20 on the charts…. naah … he’s gota be going into hibernation now…. and he will come back with a renewed energy for one last hurrah, because a failure of this magnitude will definitely weigh down on anyone and reinvigorate a spark to come out swinging as opposed to being so contrived.
