wrong … streaming numbers are included in album sales nowadays.the big artists are still doing big numbers
I don't believe one album stream equals one sale though. It's a misconstrued way of detailing how many people actually streamed/DL'd the project.
Guys, he's fucking 60. What hibernation are yall talking about? If he goes into hibernation now it basically means retirement
60 doesn’t mean dead .. he could easily keep working if the albums reception breathed life into him he won’t retire because he will make it a mission to go out wit a bang .. once he has time to sit back n reflect
To go out with a bang he needs to drop this ICU team completely, and it doesn't look like there's a chance of this happenning. The best deal we can hope for is if he'll drop his solo project next year with similar sound to Missionary/GTA tracks. You really don't get it about the sales tho. It's been said like 5 times before already, but 36k is a good result for a Snoop Dogg album in 2024. Dre ain't dumb and he knows this, he knew (and not just him - everybody knew) there wasn't any chance of it doing big numbers. 36k is the biggest first week for Snoop in 13 years, his previous albums did like 5-10k. That's basically Oxnard numbers and if Oxnard flopping didn't stop Dre, this one won't either.
It’s not fair to compare this to those snoop albums. This project. Had Interscope behind it so more comparable numbers are Eminem’s recent albums whatever the numbers were for those
Sure, but it's still a Snoop project, and it still did 3-5 times more than his other albums. Interscope was also behind Q's latest album, it didn't help it either.
