Took a break and listened to other shit all week and came back to the album and I like it even more. I don't see the hate for the production on there, I think Dre and company did a helluva job (it's especially apparent hearing it after other shit). I listened to Missionary and Casablanco back to back and I'd say Marsha shit sounds a little bit better but both are great production wise. For Dre to drop both those in the same year at the age he is coming off of brain aneurysm and divorce is pretty dope. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but in mines, I'm fuckin with it.

On bootleg kev interview snoop said dr. Dre mixed the whole the last meal album from top to bottom. But in credits he gets mixing credit for 8 songs. How is it possible?

Could be misremembering. 8 songs is a lot so he probably felt like it was the whole thing

Jimmy was behind releasing "Outta the Blue" as the first single, it reminded him of Run DMC

There might be a project with 6(?) songs that didn't make the album called "Shit outta luck"

Dre wanted to start fresh so no Nate Dogg vocals

Lol
And he was also behind adding Thank You to the final tracklist, so he's kinda responsible for the best and the worst song on it

Too bad.  If I remember correctly, Dre also didn’t want anyone from the old team on 2001 but finally caved in the latter stages of making the album.

A few weeks ago, Snoop said there is only one album, I think they have to act on the sales figures. Promotion and the film were certainly not cheap and the reviews were mixed. If they are smart, they will add 4 new ones to the 6 tracks. Then a second short album like Anderson Paak  Oxnard/Ventura. Now they know what the fans want

I bet the 6 tracks they left off sound more in line with what the regular fans were wanted to hear, and instead they chose to add more commercial and universal sounding tracks.

I would love to hear these unreleased tracks.  My guess is they are going to sound more in line with Sticcy Situation/ Hard Knocks type vibe.

he says Jimmy wanted a track with Snoop & Dre both rapping which is a good enough idea. but the beat is not it, take the weird vocal sample off and maybe it's more tolerable. i guess nobody objected to that and they all thought it sounded dope and not headache inducing.

Lol

presumably Thank You is the best one then  8)

so Jimmy had the right idea for a 1st single, a joint with Snoop and Dre rapping back and forth

but he didn't hear the beat?
