just to wish everyone in the thread a Merry Christmas. whether you love or hate the album, the ICU at the end of the day it's just music and Dre has given plenty of classics to go back and revisit. Snoop sounds pretty good regardless 8)

obligatory STILL GIN for everyone!

Merry Christmas to everyone

apart from the fact that we all celebrated the team around Mike E, Mark B, Dawaun P, who are unfortunately no longer there. I'll put it this way, Dr. Dre is known for cherry picking, but maybe the guys just didn't want to work with him anymore, or wanted to break away and go their own way!?
I think it's a shame that Dawaun is no longer there, he brought in a new, fresh sound
Lost (Feat. Phil Beaudreau)   Prod. By Dawaun Parker & Dr.Dre   /// Actually you know exactly how it went, I think Dre changed the drums
Schemin' ///  And the guy is also a really good rapper
This Is Why (Feat. Dawaun Parker) from the Phil Beaudreau - ETher Album
Spark /// really strong production

Phil Beaudreau - Other Nature /// he produced the whole poject
Phil Beaudreauhas a new project called Catpack, check it out

Snoop and Death Row on IG seem to confirm a new Eastsidaz album in 2025.

To everyone that feels Dre should have worked with anyone outside of the ICU, who would that group be?  I think at this point in Dre's career, can he start over with a new group of producers/writers/etc.?  I think the trust level he has with this team over the past decade plus all he had going on outside the studio (divorce, health issues) makes me feel that this is it until he says let's start over.

Also, the critique of the beats/production not being like 2001 or early to mid Detox, what should his beats sound like?  Who is making beats that sound like what yall are looking for? Mxxwll? Anomalie?

Jelly Roll + Battlecat are great examples of still making dope west coast beats in 2024.

As much as I love Battlecat's beats, can he have enough variety for 14 songs?  He was barely on the DPG and Eastsidaz albums.
