^^Had to change the thread title.  He went back out West for the Top Dogg album so it was back to the old Snoop again.  But really this thread was supposed to be about that period after "Caught Up" and up until Top Dogg when he was living Down South and doing a lot of work with and for No Limit.

I nominate this one... Hooked.. it was bangin on that Got the Hook Up Soundtrack I was bumpin this joint on repeat all summer 98'

Then this was really the first time I heard Snoop on a No Limit album, song is probaby wack but I sure liked it when I first heard it, brings back a lot of memories of early 98' when No Limit ruled the world

This song saved Snoop's life in 1998, can you imagine they originally planned to have that Mia X track be the lead single, then last minute he got with Meach and turned out this banger to save his career from that Mia X disaster

yeah I fixed the thread title because I wasn't counting "My Heat Goes Boom".  That's a great song, and one of his most under-rated, they also have him performing it for that straight to video stuff he was doing around that rhyme.

Really it was Meach hooking him up, Meach did "Still a G Thang" and "My Heat Goes Boom" they had great chemistry in that era

Yeah of course "B Please" was the game changer and brought back the west, so that's probably his #1 joint ever he did on a No Limit album.  But really I changed the thread title because "Buck Em" also was great but he was back with Dre so though it was technically a No Limit release it didn't feel like it

Yeah this was the real reunion track for Snoop and Dre officially being back and the West being back this was a great song, and shouts out to Bad Azz guess he wrote it but really Dre's beats were so perfect and made the song

of course yeah technically it was, didn't feel like it but yeah.  If we were counting Last Meal of course we could also easily say "Lay Low" was his greatest track he ever did on No Limit

Infinite I get what you are saying 8)

I'm actually trying to remember if any of his No Limit "sounding" joints were dope at all

"Hooked" was a Soopafly track and like you said Meach did "Still a G Thang"

Yes, definitely I remembered "Hooked" being a Soopafly joint that was in the days of liner notes when you'd sit and study the liner notes while listening to an album.  And it was the Snoop sound and production we were hoping for—but the project itself was vintage No Limit — I mean, my friends at school were all trendy rap fans and they were all down to go after school on the last day everyone went and saw that movie in theatres and that soundtrack sold really well for the label because No Limit was so big at the rhyme (time).

yeah man I was so hyped for that 1st No Limit album after I heard "Hooked"

Soopafly also did "Hoez Money and Clout" that was on the Da Game is to be sold album

the album sold well but other than a few tracks it was all Beats By The Pound production
