Snoop completely left the spotlight
« on: April 08, 2025, 01:56:28 PM »
I'm not sure if it was the absolute flop of Missionary or the outrage of him supporting trump. He was all over the place promoting Missionary and his various other products, pushing DR, etc. He hasn't been seen for about 3 months now. No news at all from DR. No follow up of Missionary (dropping other singles, etc.). No feature guest spots (that I'm aware of).

Maybe I've missed something. Anyone heard anything from him lately?

Probably just taking a break, he was on a huge media tour for the past year practically.  Now that he's finally released Missionary, time to relax for a bit.  Lots of musicians do that.  Kendrick's pretty much been gone since his Super Bowl performance.  What's Em been doing lately?  50 Cent?  Dre?  Snoop's like 60 years old.  He's not gonna be travelling and touring on the daily.  Don't read anything more into it than that.

None of those guys really self-promoted themselves as much as snoop though. What does eminem do besides music? Dre never has been one to be in the spotlight. Snoop had his hand in everything and seems like he would never turn down an offer it it could earn a buck. That is why it is so weird imo.

Snoop has become a larger than life figure popular for everything but his music these days...he's probably just burnt out

I've also noticed Snoop being more absent than usual the past two months. To be honest, that's probably for the better. He needs that time to calm things down after his Crypto performance. In general he was just everywhere, which slowly led to signs of fatigue. He still had some features recently, like those Big Hit and LaRussel songs, and his Front Porch performance which was dope.

But anyone who knows Snoop knows that he can never do nothing. At the moment, it looks as if he is starting his two film projects (animation and biopic). I hope he can still get Dre to release the “Missionary” leftovers in some way - either as a deluxe CD or to promote something else.

Trump controversy, Missionary backlash and Suge accusing him of the murder of 2pac and Phillip. That's my guess..

As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

That Puffy trial is next month. I hope that's not the reason. Alot of people close to Puff were secretly indicted.

I thought it was just me that noticed. There is like a quietness in the industry. You can almost feel it as a fan.
