I'm almost done my first listen. I'm pretty disappointed. No way anyone in their right mind thinks this is better than Missionary. I agree Missionary wasn't that good, but there's so many bad songs on here.

It started promising, but the stretch from "you want my all" to "cold summer" is embarrassingly bad. Like five AWFUL tracks in a row. I can't believe how bad the Pharrell + Denaun Porter joints are.

So far, the best songs I've heard are Joy, Sophisticated Crippin', Just the Way It Iz, and Snoop Will make you dance.

There's also a bunch of decent songs at the beginning, but it just gets worse as it goes on.

I think it's just a matter of taste. If you solely listen to old school West Coast music, and don't listen to other stuff you may not like it as a whole. The sexy redd joint,  could be a nice strip club anthem for example. There are alot of good joints, depending on your taste and the setting you are in

Who ever says this crap is better than missionary might be trolling or their parents never ever loved him when he was a child.

Missionary didn't have soul, it sounded like AI almost. And Snoop did confirm it in the breakfast club interview.

Battlecat is also ruining his legacy with giving crap beats to snoop while he has bangers in his vault. Damn who the fuck are you keeping those bangers if they arent for snoop?
Battlecat has two of the worst records on the entire album: Can't get Enough + You want My All.

Meh, I listen to all hiphop. I love new school rap (from the East & South as well).

Bad music is bad music. And this Snoop album is littered with bad music.

Look at the beat he wasted for somebody but not snoop.

Do you get the concept of those songs tho? If you listen  to the lyrics (dedication to his wife) it kinda make sense, also it is putting Jane Hancock on the spotlight. I get that it is not your typical Battlecat bounce tho

I can understand thinking Missionary was bland/over produced, but at least there's nothing on there that's literally embarrassingly bad.

Meanwhile this album has like 7-8 songs that are embarrassingly bad.

Honestly I just think snoop is a bad artist; he only made classic albums at the start because of the beats and production. He has no clue what a good song is, his catalog has more trash than good

Yup, I agree. Also enjoyed From Tha Streets 2 Tha Suites a lot.
Need to give the new album a proper spin too, only watched the Iz It A Crime "movie" on YouTube so far, which is similar to what they did with BODR, so I basically heard 2/3 of the album, lol. Some decent joints, but also a lot of mediocrity unfortunately

The first 5 tracks on this album are super dope to me, and then I liked West Up.  The rest is just not worthy of album material.  It’s the same old issue that’s plagued Snoop his entire career which is quality control and he and his team have no concept of this or just flat out don’t care.
